Probe: 16 + 8 + 1 = 25 · 32 + 8 + 2 = 42 · 64 + 32 + 4 = 100
Teil 4: Hexadezimal
Aufgabe 4 · Hex-Zahlen und Farbcodes
A = 10, B = 11, C = 12, D = 13, E = 14, F = 15. Die linke Ziffer zählt 16-fach.
- Welche Dezimalzahlen sind
FF, 1A und 2A? - Welche RGB-Werte hat der Farbcode
#FF5733? Welche Farbe ist das ungefähr?
Lösung anzeigen
FF = 15 · 16 + 15 = 255 · 1A = 1 · 16 + 10 = 26 · 2A = 2 · 16 + 10 = 42#FF5733: FF = 255 (Rot), 57 = 5 · 16 + 7 = 87 (Grün), 33 = 3 · 16 + 3 = 51 (Blau) → 255, 87, 51, ein kräftiges Orangerot.
Teil 5: Ihr Name in Bits
Aufgabe 5 · Ihr Vorname als ASCII und als Bits Mahara
Schreiben Sie Ihren Vornamen Buchstabe für Buchstabe als ASCII-Zahl und als 8 Bit. Großbuchstaben: A = 65 … Z = 90, Kleinbuchstaben: a = 97 … z = 122.
Wie viele Byte braucht Ihr Name? Was ändert sich, wenn er ein ä, ö oder ü enthält?
Lösung anzeigen
Beispiel Ada:
| Zeichen | ASCII | Bits |
|---|
| A | 65 | 01000001 |
| d | 100 | 01100100 |
| a | 97 | 01100001 |
Beispiel Full HD: 1920 × 1080 = 2.073.600 Pixel · 3 Byte (24 Bit) = 6.220.800 Byte ≈ 6,2 MB. Bei 2560 × 1440 sind es ≈ 11,1 MB, bei 4K ≈ 24,9 MB.
Teil 7: E-Portfolio & Reflexion
Geben Sie verwendete KI-Tools an.

11111111 = 128 + 64 + 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 255 – the largest number with 8 bits
Part 3: Decimal → binary
Task 3 · Write the numbers in binary
Use the remainder method: keep dividing by 2, read the remainders from bottom to top. Check your result.
a) 25 b) 42 c) 100
Show solution
a) 25 = 11001
| Division | Result | Remainder |
|---|
| 25 : 2 | 12 | 1 |
| 12 : 2 | 6 | 0 |
| 6 : 2 | 3 | 0 |

| 1 : 2 | 0 | 1 |
Check: 16 + 8 + 1 = 25 · 32 + 8 + 2 = 42 · 64 + 32 + 4 = 100
Part 4: Hexadecimal
Task 4 · Hex numbers and colour codes
A = 10, B = 11, C = 12, D = 13, E = 14, F = 15. The left digit counts 16 times.
- Which decimal numbers are
FF, 1A and 2A? - Which RGB values does the colour code
#FF5733 have? Roughly which colour is it?
Show solution
FF = 15 · 16 + 15 = 255 · 1A = 1 · 16 + 10 = 26 · 2A = 2 · 16 + 10 = 42#FF5733: FF = 255 (red), 57 = 5 · 16 + 7 = 87 (green), 33 = 3 · 16 + 3 = 51 (blue) → 255, 87, 51, a strong orange-red.
Part 5: Your name in bits
Task 5 · Your first name as ASCII and as bits Mahara
Write your first name letter by letter as an ASCII number and as 8 bits. Upper case: A = 65 … Z = 90, lower case: a = 97 … z = 122.
How many bytes does your name need? What changes if it contains an ä, ö or ü?
Show solution
Example Ada:
| Character | ASCII | Bits |
|---|
| A | 65 | 01000001 |
| d | 100 | 01100100 |
| a | 97 | 01100001 |
Ada needs 3 bytes – one byte per letter. ASCII has no ä, ö or ü; in UTF-8 each umlaut needs 2 bytes.
Part 6: Colours and image size
Task 6 · Your colour and your screen Mahara
- Pick a favourite colour, e.g. with the colour picker in Paint, PowerPoint or by searching for “color picker”. Note its RGB values and hex code.
- What resolution does your screen have (exercise 2)? How much storage does an uncompressed image of that size need at 24 bits per pixel?
Show solution
Example Full HD: 1920 × 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels · 3 bytes (24 bits) = 6,220,800 bytes ≈ 6.2 MB. At 2560 × 1440 it is ≈ 11.1 MB, at 4K ≈ 24.9 MB.
Part 7: E-portfolio & reflection
Task 7 · Extend your Mahara page Mahara
- In the reflection tool for session 3, work on the secret message from the TandemLab, tasks 1–6 and the section “Transfer & reflection”.
- Compare your calculations with the solutions on this page and note in your reflection where you differ.
- “Generate preview” → “Copy HTML” → add a section for session 3 to your Mahara page and paste it into the HTML view.
